My Friend Erin!

My Friend Erin!

When I was growing up, I was part of probably the geekiest era ever.  We were the first people to get the interwebs.  This isn’t the fancy fandangled internet we have today that uses books of faces.. we used to have to draw faces of books with ASCII art.  With text based internets, came a little online MUD(Multi User Domain -See getting nerdier and nerdier), called TCZ (The Chatting Zone).  There i spent 4 months of connect time over 15 years of my life, that means I spent 4 months of my life ON the internet talking to people on other sides of the world, even before there was a MSN or AIM or Facebook Chat!.. but thats another story all about making friends, and growing up and learning about reality that I won’t get into.

Anyways, I did meet a lot of people through the internet, which back then was really kinda looked down upon, I hear now a days people meet thier soul mates on eharmony.com or adultfriendfinder or something… Where These days I meet my women in real life… kinda ironic.

One of those really cool people I met was my friend Erin, who randomly was from a town 30 minutes from where I was from.  Erin and I actually dated for 2 weeks… the best 2 weeks of my life! ;)

Erin, like most of my friends has always been so fucking cool.  She is artsy, funny and has a great sense of humour.   She saw I was growing my Mo for Charity and said “I have a video for you”

With a pleasant shock there was Erin in a You tube video for a song called “The Mustache Song”

So my Mo Readers, it is a great pleasure to add Erin Into the Mustache Bio’s and present to you…

My Friend Kaylin’s Moustache

I am going to try and do some blogs about people in the world that sport the moustache with pride.  These people can be anyone from My Best Friend Kaylin to Johnny Depp, and I will do my best to get some interesting things to read.

Kaylin

My Best Friend's Moustache

Kaylin's Awesome Moustache

There are many people in this world.. more than 6 billion the last time i checked, but there is only 1 best friend out of those billions of people.. and that person to me is my best friend Kaylin.

Kaylin and I met through a friend when I had first moved to Vancouver when I was 19 years old.  I think the first thing she said to me besides hi, was “So, I found this book in the dumpster in the alley near my house, and its all about communism!”

I knew then and there that we would be friends…

Statements like that were just the tip of the ice berg.  Kaylin and I have had conversations that last hours about what is the king of milkshakes to having her perform her own style of weirdly intriguing theatre art pieces where she climbs through garbage bags and says things that make no sense, which often somehow magically relate to how much you mean to her for your birthday present.

I have always admired Kaylin. She is in no better way to describe it, a trend setter.  She knows about bands that gain mass appeal before anyone else, sometimes I think she knows the bands before the bands even know there in a band.  Her fashion sense is strange to people, but 6 months down the road everyone seems to be wearing a variation of her cool indie rock style getup!  She is interested in things that no one that I know even knows about and she can speak about them so intellectually and passionately that you can’t help but be intrigued.

Halloween or Christmas is a great time for a beard!

Halloween or Christmas is a great time for a beard!

Kaylin has main quirks.  My favorite quirk for sure is the fact that she loves wearing fake moustaches and beards out and about.  She just loves the moustache, thats how she explains it at least.

Her halloween costumes always somehow have a beard, from being Jack Sparro to David Suzuki, she always finds a way to have facial hair!

Kaylin and I unfortunately got seperated when I moved to the Caribbean and when she moved to Montreal, but I know that somewhere in the land of canadian french people someone is seeing a girl sporting a great moustache!

“Regardez la fille avec une moustache” they will say.

Mark my words in 6 months time, they will be wanting to follow this trend and sport a moustache just like my awesomest best friend Kaylin!

Love you Kaylin! Keep on Rocking the Mo! Fo Sho!
